SLSS - Biology Second Level Support Service - Collect Free Resources - 24-Apr-2009

WHAT ARE THE NEW RESOURCES FOR YOUR SCHOOL?
(i) A Biology Lab Manual --- for teachers by teachers - to help you and your
colleagues manage your lab more efficiently. It also includes many ideas for your
practical classes including ‘VISUAL’ Protocols for Mandatory Activities and a section
on use of ICT in the Lab
(ii) An updated version of the Biology Resource DVD --- acclaimed by all teachers
who use it - with resources for every topic on the LC Biology Syllabus - now including
Assessment Methods (including WWTBAM) for ALL TOPICS and NEW Resources
through Irish.
We have posted a flyer to every school (for the attention of ‘The Biology Teacher’)
inviting Biology teachers to a workshop to explore the two new resources. If no-one
from your school is attending the Workshop -- please arrange to have the resources
for your school collected (and signed for) from your Local Education Centre on the
dates below - between 8.15 pm and 9 p.m.
These resources will only be distributed through these workshops. If you missed our flyer and need further information re the workshops - please
see our website where all details of how to apply for a place can be found …..
