Certificate Course for Special Needs Assistants 2009 - 2010 - 22-May-2009

The Church of Ireland College of Education is now inviting applications for enrollment in the Certificate Course for Special Needs Assistants course to be delivered in the coming academic year.

The course will be run at two separate venues:

1. The Church of Ireland College of Education, Rathmines, Dublin 6.

2. Navan Education Centre, Athlumney, Navan, Co. Meath.

The course will be of 60 hours duration.

Places will be limited to 25 persons at each venue.

Application
Applications are limited to those special needs assistants who have satisfactorily completed the 20 hour introductory programme delivered through the network of education centres. A copy of the certificate awarded on completion of the relevant Introductory Course for Special Needs Assistants must accompany any application made for the Certificate Course.

Applicants must be currently employed as special needs assistants in mainstream primary or post-primary schools or in special schools.

All applications must be made using the appropriate form, a copy of which accompanies this notice. Application forms may be photocopied as required. Additional copies can be downloaded from the following websites: www.cice.ie, www.sess.ie or from the website of the education centre from which this notice was forwarded.

Completed applications should be marked ‘SNA Application’ and sent to:

Completed application forms (including a copy of the relevant introductory course certificate) must reach the above address by close of business on Friday 22nd May 2009.
