Target Audience : Junior Cycle Science Teachers
The introduction of the new Junior Cycle Science course in 2017 saw many science teachers teaching the topics of sustainability and climate change for the first time, with few resources. In this webinar, you will be presented with a variety of ideas for teaching these topics at Junior Cycle level, many of which you will be able to use in your science classroom tomorrow.

Bio :

Dr. Lisa Shine (BSc Pharmacology, PhD Genetics) is a Biology and Chemistry teacher. She is currently teaching at Dominican College Muckross Park in Donnybrook, Dublin 4, and has previously taught at St. David’s Secondary School in Greystones and Scoil Mhuire Cork. Additionally, she lectures on the Professional Masters in Education programme at UCD, and is an author on the latest edition of the Junior Cycle “Exploring Science” textbook which will be published by Edco in Autumn 2026. In 2020, she launched her own website (www.shineatscience.com) to share assessment materials, that she has designed, with other science teachers.
