Overview of Course
Trauma can profoundly impact a child's ability to learn, regulate emotions, and form relationships. A trauma-informed approach in education recognises these effects and seeks to create safe, supportive environments where all pupils can thrive. This four-part course introduces learners to the knowledge, theories and strategies that underpin trauma-informed practice in schools. By embedding trauma-informed principles into everyday practice, educators can help create inclusive, resilient learning environments where all pupils can thrive.
Course Outline:
Session 1: Understanding Trauma & Its Impact
Session 2: Building Safe & Supportive Relationships
Session 3: Supporting Emotional Regulation
Session 4: Empowering Pupils & Strengthening Connections
