AUT23-234 Using Active Methodologies in the Classroom and Starters & Finishers in the LC Classroom
This is a continuation of session one. We will give an insight into the LC classroom and the methodologies used to engage and further develop students understanding of the topic, with an active approach. Provided are examples of methodologies and where and how they can be used effectively in the classroom or as a study resource. Also included will be easy and adaptable methods to quickly but effectively assess students' learning at the start of the lesson or as a finisher.

Cheyenne completed a BSc in Science with Education and then a PME, both in Maynooth University. Cheyenne received a sports scholarship from Maynooth University for the duration of her time studying there playing camogie. Cheyenne primarily teaches Science and Biology but also teaches SPHE, CSPE and LCA Science as well. Cheyenne runs the account That_Science_Teacher, where she promotes what she is doing in the classroom and any ideas she is using in the classroom to make her subjects more engaging. Cheyenne has a passion for sport, art and the environment, which she tries to express in her teaching methodologies. Incorporates creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and communication in her classroom.
