Date:     Wednesday 27th November 2024
Time:     7 - 8 pm
Venue:  Online via Zoom

Target Audience: Leaving Cert Chemistry Teachers

In this webinar, we will explore a variety of free online tools that teachers and students can use to vividly recreate the groundbreaking experiments of Rutherford, Bohr, Milikan and Chadwick. Often, the historical aspects of atomic theory can seem dull to students eager for hands-on chemistry experiences however, through these interactive simulations, we'll explore how you can engage students in meaningful learning experiences by allowing them to step into the roles of these iconic scientists and personally experience their famous discoveries. This approach not only makes learning more interactive but also deepens students' comprehension and appreciation of these pivotal experiments in the history of science.
