Our Mission Statement
"Navan Education Centre reaches out to the Education Community to influence positively its quality of life by providing for all concerned support resources, training and opportunities for personal and professional development."
Navan Education Centre - one of 21 such full-time Centres throughout the country - provides support for teachers, schools, principals, Boards of Management and allied school personnel in counties Meath and Louth. The region has approximately 214 schools, both primary and post primary. Navan also gives professional ICT support to the schools and teachers of Co Cavan. In total we support over 4,000 teachers and allied school personnel.
The centre is grant aided by the Teacher Education Section of the Department of Education and Skills (DES)
It is managed by a committee elected annually at the Centre's AGM. Day-to-day management and administration are the responsibility of Director Bernadette McHugh and staff.
The Centre was established in 1972 in the Navan Vocational School and then moved to St Anne’s Loreto Convent in 1974. The present building was officially opened by the Minister for Education, Michael Woods TD on 25 May 2001.
Fearaimid fáilte ar leith roimh oidí agus fóirne scoileanna. Molaimid go n-úsáidfí na háiseanna atá ar an ngréasán chun teagmháil linn, chun ainmneacha a chur isteach ar chúrsaí nó chun foirmeacha agus ábhar inphriontálta a tharraingt anuas.
