Reading for Pleasure is the single most important indicator of a child’s future success’ (OECD, 2002). What does this look like in a multilingual classroom?
It is vital that the books we share in our schools reflect the rich diversity of the society we live in. How do we ensure that our texts are diverse and that they encourage positive reading identities for all children? Books build belonging and help us to see and understand each other. This interactive webinar will explore our knowledge of authors and texts, share book recommendations that celebrate linguistic diversity, signpost resources and suggest adaptable, practical activities.
