Rainbows is a free, inclusive, voluntary service for children and young people experiencing loss following bereavement and parental separation/parental relationship breakdown /divorce.

Overview of Bereavement Sessions:

Introduction to the work of Rainbows Ireland

Overview of Childhood Bereavement and the Bereavement Care Pyramid

Introduction to Theory and Research

Overview of children’s reactions to grief

Suggestions for support – what helps within the school setting

Sharing resources and links for signposting

 

Presenter: Kate O'Neill

Kate O'Neill is an experienced primary school teacher with a passion for children’s wellbeing. She has volunteered with Rainbows Ireland since 2010. She has worked as a Programme Facilitator and Programme Co-ordinator in her school. She is part of the Rainbows Ireland National Training Team who train Programme Facilitators to deliver the Rainbows Programme.
