Target Audience: Primary and post-primary school staff, including teachers, principals, deputy principals, and SNAs/ ANAs.

New understanding of neurodiversity has come through science and lived experience, but schools need more support in bringing this into everyday practice. This session is a starting point.

Through short films featuring neurodivergent young people and adults alongside insights from experts in education, psychology, and occupational therapy, educators will experience a different way to build confidence on enabling neurodiversity at school. Instead of learning about neurodiversity from the outside, this session helps educators feel what it’s like from the inside.

Educators will come away with a deeper felt understanding of neurodivergent experience in school settings, practical insight they can relate to their own classrooms, and a clear sense of where to go next. This event is a taster of Project All Rise, a new social enterprise offering free, film-based learning and live events to support schools in creating a culture that’s Built For Neurodiversity, one small change at a time.

Bio of Presenter: Sarah Colgan

Sarah Colgan is the founder of Project All Rise, a purpose-led social enterprise building cultural infrastructure to enable neurodiversity. Sarah has 15 years' experience in strategic roles across communications, partnerships, and social impact, having worked with MTV and the BBC in London, and RTÉ in Dublin. She led the multi-award-winning 20x20 campaign, which brought culture change for gender equity in sport. Through Project All Rise, she brings together leading voices across psychology, education, occupational therapy, and lived experience to create accessible, story-led learning for schools.
